Essential Resources for Trauma Surgeons

The academy  is your education hub for training, events, and mentorship opportunities to master a proactive approach to hemorrhage control and proactive partial aortic occlusion.

Proactive Resucitation: High Acuity, Low Frequency—

Why Is Training Important?

  • Aortic occlusion in the setting of non compressive truncal hemorrhage is a high-acuity, low-frequency procedure that requires surgeons to act quickly and efficiently under life-threatening conditions. Regular training and practice helps maintain the procedural muscle memory necessary for success.
  • When paired with continuous process improvement and skill development skill, surgeons are prepared to perform aortic occlusion effectively and proactively, ultimately improving patient outcomes.
